DC Water and Sewer Authority (WASA)

DC Water and Sewer Authority (WASA) is looking for two (2) GIS interns to support Impervious Area Database (IAD) project currently underway. The IAD will require intensive quality control review. The interns will be used to perform database quality review for its completeness and accuracy. The interns will work under the direction of Project manager to support various activities for this project.

The key activities that these interns will perform:

  • Review of IAD GIS database for its quality
  • Research of source database used for the creation of IAD database
  • Quality review of database will be performed using computers
  • Students will be provided directions and basic instructions

Intern Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Students must be familiar with GIS and mapping concepts
  • Preferable if students have working knowledge of ArcGIS software
  • Students must be have basic understanding of computer, MS Office
  • Only Junior and senior year undergraduate students and graduate students majoring in engineering disciplines, computer technology, environmental sciences, planning or geography
