Message to the Membership
I was thrilled to be asked if I would be a candidate for a board position with URISA.
Over the past 17 years I have been involved with URISA in a variety of ways: as a member, as a moderator, as a presenter at conferences and most recently as Co-Chair of the URISA GIS in Public Health conference.
In the New England area, I have been involved with organizations focused on GIS with Spring and Fall Conferences and then every other year with NEGIS. I remain enthusiastic about learning and sharing among GIS professionals.
Over the past 17 years, the technology has changed, grown and expanded. We have much to learn from each other. I believe URISA serves as the premier organization for spatial information professionals.
If elected, I would bring many years of regional experience of conference planning and networking. I am honored to be considered for the position and ask for your support.
