Each year, URISA invests considerable resources in the development and production of URISA Certified Workshops. The workshops span a wide variety of topics and have been recognized the world over as some of the best learning experiences in information technology and GIS. CONFERENCES

URISA's Annual Conference has been a staple in URISA's educational line-up for nearly 50 years. In addition, URISA presents a number of specialty topic conferences each year, some of which are presented in partnership with other associations. Conference committees, made up of dedicated URISA members, organize the educational program for each conference. Most of the conferences include an exposition and networking events to help to build your professional network.

In addition, URISA Chapters often host their own conferences. Be sure to visit your local chapter website for information about events near you.

• GIS-Pro: URISA's Annual Conference for GIS Professional

  Recently named GIS-Pro, this is URISA's primary educational event each year. Since 1963, URISA members and friends from around the world have convened annually to learn about, share and discuss all things geospatial. Whether you are an established or emerging GIS Professional, the GIS-Pro Conference is for you.

• URISA Leadership Academy

  The ULA is a five day program, the only leadership training program of its type, tailored to industry leaders and practitioners faced with unique challenges of GIS leadership and management and who want to make an impact leveraging the power of GIS.

• GIS / CAMA Technologies Conference

  This annual specialty conference and exposition for professionals in property assessment, tax administration, mapping and information technology is jointly presented by URISA and the International Association of Assessing Officers, since 1997.

• URISA/NENA Addressing Conference

  Conference evolved from URISA's Street Smart and Address Savvy Conference and the Geospatial Integration for Public Safety Conference)This event, co-sponsored by the National Emergency Number Association, brings together GIS professionals, addressing coordinators, 9-1-1 and emergency response specialists to one place for opportunities in networking and learning.

• GIS in Transit Conference

  Beginning in 2009, URISA and the Center for Urban Transit Research are partnering to present the GIS in Transit Conference.

• URISA Caribbean GIS Conference

  An biannual specialty conference and exhibition focusing on the effective application of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other information technologies within Caribbean government agencies.
  Next Event: December 6-10, 2010 in Trinidad

• GIS in Public Health Conference

  URISA is pleased to present this specialty conference, to explore the many uses of GIS for public health access, processes, and decision-making. The inaugural conference took place in May 2007 in New Orleans. In 2009, the conference was presented in Providence, Rhode Island and the event will be presented every two years.
